Well I'm back. I had a great time. The chess people weren't as weird as i thought they would be and we could hear (and see) the Live 8 concert from our hotel room. I woke on Sat morning to Dave Matthews Band. We didn't go to the concert we only mingled in the crowd, and did some sight seeing.


These are a few pics of the crowd from my hotel window. We stayed at the Wyndam.

While we were there we checked out this huge Cathedral that was next to the Hotel.

He played a 7 year old kid and game only lasted 30 min (you have up to 6 hours to play each game).

There were a TON of kids there fresh out of Chess camp, and all of the adults were complaining that they couldn't compete with them because the kids lived and breathed Chess. To be fair, most of the kids were kicking ass, and playing dirty as hell. Jon played one kid who kept adjusting several of the pieces every 2 mins, to try and distract him because every time you adjust a piece you have to (or can) say "adjust". So the little fucker was saying "adjust. Adjust. Adjust" the whole goddamn game. He would leave the room every time his father did. Then he offered him a draw 8 times!!! Jon was ranked higher than him so if the kid got Jon to take a draw, even though Jon was winning, his score would go up. A lot of the parents there where shady as well.
