So someone emailed last night to say they watched the last movie I wrote and directed. I haven't done much since then in film--I acted in a bit of a shit show of a feature the year after it (that almost ended in blood and revolt) but really, the book series has taken off so I don't have much time to work on movies. But...

Step one, fall in love with book, write it obsessively.

Step two, start working with publisher.

Step three, reach a point where I swear I'm either going to kill my publisher or they're going to kill me. Promise to only self-publish next time.

Step four, book is in, nearly ready to print, days away from going live on Kindle. Goldfish-style memory kicks in, start having...

My publisher has announced that the two Kindle-only shorts, "Gifted" and "The Soloist," are available free to download today through Sunday. Just sayin'. If you like young adult superhero stuff. Not a Kindle reader? There's a free app right there on the page that'll let you read them on any device. Check 'em out, let me know what you think!

"I just love your stuff, you're just so cool, you're just I mean I love your stuff and you're great. You're great. I'm leaving now. Right now. Because it got weird, I made it weird."

A dramatic reading of when I ran into Christopher Uminga at Boston Comic Con today. I'm allegedly a professional. I mean, I have a booth and readers and stuff. I...

@soraleia Yeah, I always panic. When I'm working conventions some celebrity or another walks by and I end up being a complete dork. Last year it was Jewel Staite from Firefly. I just looked at the floor and blushed.

At Boston Comic Con with the Indestructibles this weekend and selling well. Meeting tons of great people. The best thing ever, I think, is meeting a lot of people who bought the book when it first came out who stopped by to let me know what they thought.

I don't care what any other writer says. The reason we do this is to be storytellers....

And I swear, I can't ever hear it without it breaking my heart a little bit. I knew including The Parting Glass in my third book would break my heart every single time I hear it, but I'm a nostalgia addict, I guess. It brings me back to Galway and Oranmore, and the last time I was really happy. I'm fairly certain that was the...

Finished up my review of the proof of Book 3 tonight. I'm really proud of this one. I also apparently used a few words way too often, so there's some cleanup to do, but story-wise, I'm feeling really good about it.

Here's where it starts to get real... Book 3 of my superhero series the Indestructibles is up for Kindle pre-orders, which is the moment when everything starts to come together (all the other formats all start to fall around that date the next few days). I think this might be the best book in the series.

It's definitely my favorite cover so far:

And I'm pretty psyched about it. One of my great regrets from Book 2 was being talked into a title I didn't want. This time I stood my ground and got the title I wanted. And so it's going to be:

The Entropy of Everything.

Keep an eye on The Indestructibles site for more details soon!
