I still can't get over how good the images were from this modeling gig. My friend Tami says everyone should pose for this photographer in their lifetime. I kind of agree.

When I'm not working on the Indestructibles series, I do a little photography and a little modeling. Not a ton, but enough of the latter to, well, make myself feel good about myself, if that makes any sense. And once in a while I get to work with outstanding photographers--sometimes on a repeating basis--who make me look on camera like something more than I am....

Doing an experiment after folks complained that the $.99 shorts on Amazon were Kindle-only. To try to take Amazon out of the loop and see if that helps, I've launched a Patreon page where people can buy stories for any amount they choose. Full details on my book's website. If it doesn't work, no harm done... I'll just go back to Kindle-only for the...

Without Bowie in it. Dammit.

The remarkable thing is Blackstar was clearly his way of saying goodbye. He had to know. Right? He had to know it was his swan song. Goddammit, every artist should be so lucky, so poetic, and so grand. Everyone should get a chance to say goodbye.

Agreed. Most of us have no idea when we will breathe our last breath. I guess Bowie's health was like a ticking timebomb and he knew when the alarm would go off. Luckily he was able to hang on two days after the release of his last album. I hope he passed on knowing he was loved by millions.

I think he did, @linnova. I have to admire his strength of will to keep creating right until his final days. Such a remarkable accomplishment in a lifetime of remarkable accomplishments.

I went looking for cute superhero party photos to post to the Indestructibles Facebook pages. Found this one, thought it was a little too much for my youngest readers, but had to share. Love Ollie and Power Girl canoodling in the corner.

Y'know, it's said that the more a book (or TV show) is pirated, the more likely it is the book will sell more down the road because of word of mouth, but finding two really nicely laid out places where the entire Indestructibles series has been ripped off and posted for free still makes me a little mad. The books have a good following, but...

I'm sorry to read that your hard work is being stolen! That's very unfair and hope there are means to put an end to it. I just got the first of The Indestructibles books for my Kindle from Amazon and looking forward to read it.

I swear, I'm too bloody neurotic to do this. Even a five star review can set me all aflutter in a bad way.

"Best in the series" for book 3 and instead of enjoying "best in the series," I'm like, "Why didn't you like the first two?"

When, like, dude... if they read book 3 they must've liked book 1 and 2 enough to keep...

... and I totally almost missed the interview because I forgot it was booked. Thank you iPhone calendar alerts, you're a life saver.

Never ceases to amaze me how much I talk about positivity when it comes to the books when I'm such a brutal cynic about most things. I guess the Indestructibles are just where I find my hope in all the pessimism.

... can bring everything crashing back to you.

St. Stephen's Green in Dublin, jogging on a cool spring day, that one year when everything went right and I couldn't hold on tight enough to make sure it didn't slip away.

Anybody else have one of those periods of time in your life? When you go okay, I know this can't last, this is the best...

Had a great time promoting the Indestructibles at RICC this year. Met some great people, saw some fantastic cosplay. Go team Hawkguy!

One of these days I want to just GO to a show and not table at it. Go in costume, buy some stuff, not be stressed to the max...
