So the second book is hovering just below 70,000 words. 68,500 more like. And I was on a hell of a roll until some client work came up the past few nights that really killed my time to write. I was really hoping to have the first draft finished before heading in to Boston ComicCon this weekend to promote Book 1--side note, if anyone is planning to attend, swing on by to say hello? I'm at D426 in Artists' Row this year.
I really need the sequel to do well. If I can get as much traction with Book 2 of the Indestructibles as I've been with Book 1, I can start thinking about maybe shedding a little bit of the grunt work from my editing freelancing to focus on the third book.
What I really need is a movie deal. Or a mention on Ellen or something.
I will be at the same convention as John Barrowman though. Think I can beg him to take a copy of the book to read on the flight home?
