I've been cleaning up and going through junk here in the "middle room". The closet has become a perpetual storeage unit that things got shoved into boxes and forgotten when I moved in here. I've been looking for some old stuff, books and what not, so I figured it was time to dig into that closet.

Low and behold I found something by far better then yearbooks from my elementry school days or pictures from obscure church trips with people I didn't like. A crap load of cds from my middle school and high school years.

I'm sitting here listening to a cd that I burned when I was maybe all of 15 years old (circa 2001 or 2002). Wow. Things that it brings back and feelings long forgotten. Friendships and loves that have slipped by. Some are kinda coming back around on me now, oddly enough. So, these songs are just that more striking.

Even though I've gone through a lot of things that have forever changed me, I gotta say, I'm still basically that same person. She was gone for a while. I let myself be lost in order to make other people happy. I'm trying to rediscover her, because she was who she wanted. She fought for her own happiness other that of others. Didn't let people walk on her.

So, here's to rediscovery. To taking back hold of my inner Rebel Girl. I've missed her and I know I'm not the only one.
