GUUUUYYYYSSSSS I have some very exciting news!!
It has been three and a half years since my debut set Yoshi's Story was shot, and it took another whole year before it finally saw the light of day in Member Review!

I've spent the intervening time dreaming about set themes and hoping to have the opportunity to bring them to life, and one rainy morning a few months ago I got the chance to play around with my camera in the backyard and somehow managed to pull together a set which has been ACCEPTED and is NOW IN QUEUE!!! I'm so excited!!
I spent a couple of hours self shooting this set and was interrupted partway through, so it was difficult to pull it together and decide on a set progression that included all of the photos I really wanted to share. My SG bestie @asloke was so unbelievably helpful as a sounding board and offered so many suggestions and feedback while I pummeled her with messages about my obsession, I love you so much Asloke :3
And I miss you like crazy x
I also spent weeeeeks messing around with Darktable and learning how to edit, big thanks to my member bestie @sammax93 for all the advice and recommendations about editing software!
It's not perfect, it might never be Set of the Day but it's been a huge learning experience for me and given me the confidence to try to self shoot more sets for the site.
I really like how a lot of the photos turned out, I'm so stoked to see the SG logo on them and I'm sooo excited for you guys to see it when it comes out in a couple of months! 🥳✨
