I'm listening to the oral arguments for Boumediene v Bush.

I don't have much to say about that, other than that council for the respondent pronounces Hamdi kinda funny. He does know how to pronounce Uighur, though, so points for that. I spent a very stressful semester writing a brief on this case for my writing class. I had the job of defending the states position, which was a task I found tasteless at the best of times. As I listen to this, I find myself rooting for the respondents despite myself. After all, I spent many long hours formulating these same terrible arguments.
