I think that I want to leave for Louisiana before the New Year. I haven't decided yet, and I'll discuss the matter with my parents. If it would make them more comfortable if I stayed through the New Year, I'll do that, but I don't want to wait much longer than that to make my move.
So, tentatively, I hope to be leaving somewhere between the 28th of December and 5th of January. Then it would be nice to spend a few days in North Carolina before finishing my journey back to Baton Rouge.
Of course, that depends on whether or not it seems likely that I'll find employment and housing down there, given the nature of things in Louisiana. At least I'm in a situation where I can watch for developments before committing entirely.
