I'm afraid this isn't a proper blog, but a call for help!

As I mentioned before, I'm currently writing my dissertation. We're supposed to write it on a gap in research, but I'm afraid my gap is too big, so I'm relying on other sources for research! This is why I've had to write a questionnaire. If any of you could help me out and fill it in for me, that would be AMAZING.

Do you consider there to be a difference in the way that men and women perform their jobs?

If so, what is the difference?

Do you think this difference has an effect on how good they are at their job?

Do you think that women have an equal chance at getting a top end management position in the music industry as men?

If not, then why not?



What do you consider the marketing of female artists (or even females in music videos) by record labels to focus on more than anything else?

What genre of music do you find this to be most apparent in?

Do you think that the way that the music industry represents women to the public changes the way that women are considered in society?

If so, what do you think it is that contributes most to this? (e.g. lyrical content, female artists representation, female representation in music videos etc.)

As a side note, my birthday was awesome. We went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens in the morning, then Wagamamas for lunch (The movie was amazing, and the food....ooooh so good!!), and out in the night. I had a really good time. smile

Thank you all so much for your help. I need to take a little brain break right now.

I got a call this morning telling me that my boyfriend's been taken back into hospital. He's having to have another operation. I don't know when I'll hear anything about it. I hope his mother calls me or something to let me know.

It sucks so much, not only do I have to finish my dissertation and I have to work all weekend anyway, but he's at home at the moment, and it's too far away for me to go visit.

I hate this. I miss him terribly.

Back to work I guess frown
