I haven't written anything besides school papers in quite some time. I just finished Ellen Hopkins' "Perfect" and it was great, just like everything else I've read from her. Pulling on my sad strings until tears start poking out while I'm flipping page after page. If you've never read her books, I'd definitely recommend giving her a try!
As I finished reading, I started writing something little. Figured I'd share it while I'm laying in bed unable to sleep!
Perfect. So many try to define it, achieve it, be it. But perfect isn't found in chemicals or in a secret cave. Perfect is a cool spring morning after rain, or waking up with the love of your life next to you. Perfect cannot be made or purchased. It just simply is.
Nothing special, more like a short poem then anything. But speaking of perfect, you all need to check out the gorgeous @dutch_'s set! It's stunning! @alissa and @radeo made some magic and I can't get over how much I love it! Show her lots of love, she's the absolute kindest soul. I adore her, and so should you! Show her love here! <3
