A friend (using the term loosely) once asked me to do something. I told him that I already had plans with someone else, and that I'd make time for him another day.

He told me, in no uncertain terms, that I had to choose between being his friend, or being the friend of the person I had plans with. I chose the plans I'd already made.

Not because I liked the friend I had plans with better - because he had the audacity to give me an ultimatum.

It's a weakness I have

"Him or me!" = "Him!"

It's brutal, because I've been in situations where a g/f has given me the same bullshit line, and the next day, every time, I've been single.

It's not about who I like, love, or treasure more at that point... it's that I can't be close to people who are so self important that they think they have the right to actually demand that they get attention over someone else...

I mean - fucking bribe me, I'm weak.

Oh, you're going out with so and so? come out with me instead and I'll blow you! (okay, won't work for a guy... but if you have a cute friend willing to give me head, that works too)

I'll be going with you - but I want the head first, thank you very much. And after. Make it a good bribe.

In other news?

Going to be in Calgary for a week (arriving this weekend, Sunday morning) - mostly spending time with my ailing grandfather.

2.5 weeks smoke free.

4.5 weeks sex free.

Oh, and I got me a new digital camera... I love it
