We, officially, are property owners - our mortgage was appoved, and we finish all the paperwork tomorrow after work!
the countdown begins - 14 months, 8 days, and we'll be moving into something we actually own, rather than renting...
It's a cozy (read small, but not tiny) apartment, brand new, with all the frills. Close to work, close to shopping, close to good eating, and... well, it'll be ours! yay!
After years on end of paying rent, we're finally investing in something - and (the best part) the property value on our place has already jumped by more than the down payment we made... by the time we moved in, we'll have more equity than we spend on rent in 2 years, without spending more than the down payment *heh*
