So potentially half a million people are dead in the last week of 2004, civil unrest permeates the world, and the only negative thing affecting me directly is a stupid cold?
I think my biggest resolution for 2005 is to make as many people smile as possible - because there really is nothing in the world that could make where we are anything less than extraordinary.
Realistically speaking, populationwise, North America is pretty sparse - maybe 380 million people including Canada and the US... maybe. Kinda disturbing that 380 million people live where the majority of the world's wealth is, leaving billions to fend for themselves with much less.
