I experienced some art in NYC yesterday. It was a perfect day.
I was pretty moved at times by the installation. What an acomplishment. It was beautiful. There were endless variations of movement, shape, color...so many people can share that moment in time.

Pete yo took over 200 pics with a Canon digital SLR cam. I'll share as soon as I pick up a CD...

yeah...

eco-living is good. i was retained to do an interior in one of the new twin richard meier buildings on the west-side. we had it all figured out--a completely track-based modular living space that operated in XYZ cartesian space with lots of eco-minded decisions. then the owner decided to sell the place raw and not bother...

i've always been a fan of comodes with faucets built atop them so that waste water is used for flushing.

i've also always been a fan of homasote. at the ICFF a couple of years ago, i was showing some stuff thru a now defunct design group in NYC. there was a homasote fabricator there. they basically just made products out of the sheets of homasote with a little bit of wiggleboard thrown in occasionally. i approached their rep about trying to make solid-cast furniture out of the pulp, but they thought i was smoking crack. i still think it could happen though... i should try to track them down again.

And now a formal thank you to the Vietnamese for their cuisine. (applause, whistle)

twang - I like that word.
(whistle)

I think a movie is in order for tonight.

It seems like everybody I know likes to drink a ton when they get together. I'm kind of sick of it. It's boring. ( boo's)

Proclaimation: Drinking sucks.

Anybody want to be my drinking sucks...

I was being smartasstic. Love is real. She just takes her sweet time to come along.

I don't drink. It makes me drunk.

So Pete yo bailed on NYC today. Don't blame him. It was getting a little late.
We will be heading down this week. This time we'll get on the road earlier.

For those of you that have been here before, Pete Z is my friend in Rhode Island and Pete yo is another Pete.

I figure that I have to see this installation. How many...

Pete yo wants to go to the city and check out the exhibit in Central Park. And here I was starting to brainstorm some local amusement for the day.
I had the guitar out and everything. I'm not really great at it but can groove alright. Somewhere along the way I got hit the groove train and here I am today.

List:

coffee
cash
some...

Don't you love it when a friend calls you out of nowhere and asks you to come over for scallops and a steak. This evening we will be serving surf and turf ala Teddy.

Of course I would be just as psyched if it was spinach and rice.

Proclomation: Eating with friends is high on the list of "great activities for humans".

Turning to other...

There's such a thing as honest contracting?

Ah food. Before I discovered the nutritious qualities of human soul, I used to eat food too. That's back when I had friends. Now, of course, they're all just zombies.

I had an ophthamologist for lunch. I'm saving his cute little children (aged 3 and 1) for dinner. A special treat.

Being odd is overrated. Being sick is better.

Off to Rhode Island for a few days.

Izzy keeps making her wierd squeeky, cackle meow at me. She's in, out, in, out, in, out. Everything in moderation I guess.

I'm kind of in the mood for a burrito.

Looks like I'll be working in Albany, NY in a couple of weeks. Any body have any suggestions for for entertainment or good restaurants?
I've worked there before. Lots of pretty girls in Albany.

Now I have to get a high speed internet card. Yahoo!! surreal

I'm really trying to make the best of this useless season.

Yesterday my friends convinced me to go for a little hike in the woods.

I reluctantly went.

Some photo opportunities ensued.

I love the outdoors but I just don't get all excited about the snow and cold.

I'm going to picture myself in a warm, sunny environment right now. I'll have to get back...

I like hiking, just not when its cold and wet. I don't really have any winter gear to wear. It felt good to get some exercise though.

If it is displayed for us and we are told that it is good and beautiful, and that we should consume it, do we open our wallets and accept it as fact?

Do we gleefully follow the heard in a self-perpetuating vicious circle of boring, unoriginal behaviors. Do we exist in a neatly packaged world that constricts us by defining what is good/bad, dangerous/safe, responsible/irresponsible....
