thank you dear lord for my day off... one more week of this summer school thing... it's actually more like summer art camp... just, instead of canoes, campfire songs & wallet making for the kids, it's performance art, John Cage & conceptual installation based sculpture... oh, and there's alot more Manic Panic hair dye & studded belts than I remember at summer camp... (I went to YMCA camp before the Village People changed the context of that particular organization)... oops... I just dated my self...
back to work tomorrow, but today is for relaxin'... a little brunch in the garden and a couple pitchers of mimosas seemed like a good start so that's just what we did... mmmmmmmmmm Saturdaybrunchybuscuityeegysteaky champagne love...
the girl had to teach this morning so she missed the foody drinkyness but she's headed over now... looking forward to a slow afternoon of cold drinks in the shade or maybe cocktails snuck into a cool dark movie theater (ok... I know it sounds like I'm a complete lush... hey, it's summer & my day off... I'm gonna get my drink on)..........the girl takes off on Wednesday... we won't see each other again till after labor day... at that point, things are gonna be alot different... she's strong though & we both got alot of love for each other... I don't feel like we're losing anything with this change... (well, ok, probably alot less sex ) but her place in my heart certainly isn't getting any smaller & there will always be room for her in my arms...
