hiya kidz... sorry about the spotty entries... some how my summer of doing nothing keeps getting booked up with adventures... I spent the first part of the week out in the desert east of the Salton Sea (near Coachella) at a place called Sab City... it's an abandoned military base that has been taken over by a community of people who want to live off the "grid"... no water or power but every one works off of solar and/or wind generated electricity & live in trailors/RVs/shacks/compounds... it's hot as fuck out there in the summer (try about 102f)... I was out there with a friend who was checking on the status of her school bus that is getting converted into an RV/tour bus... she's getting it totally tricked out with solar/battery power, water tank & shower, stove, fridge, sleeping fo 6-8 people... fuckin' rad...
what else.........
so being the summer time BoiFiend is workin' out pretty good... she's a sweet heart of a girl who loves to play and isn't afraid to give me a ration of shit if I'm being poo headed... that's a good thing... we both know this isn't forever but we're gonna have fun for the next few months...
& in other news... I got my summer gig with the arts highschool that rents out the campus where I teach during the year... this is such a cake job... it's only worth a couple grand but it's also only about 5 weeks woth of work... if I can pick up a little freelance work, all will be well for me to fuck off for the rest of the summer
speaking of fucking off, the party continues at my house... a BBQ/cocktail party tonite & tomorrow we're having a fake wedding reception for a friend who's marrying this guy so he can get his green card... maybe I'll wear my tux
