Finally done with the Nutcracker nonsense. It's gonna take a pint of Jack to get those fuckin' Sugar Plum faeries outa my head. Doesn't help that every other commercial on TV has Nut music in the background. The pleasant surprise was the $2K check I got at the end. Wasn't expecting that much.

Got about 36 hours to get my life together before I head out to the east coast for the holidays. Looking forward to seeing family & friends and spending some time in places that feel a bit more like winter. A few weeks in NC & a road trip up to NJ to visit with my brother & his family. Very excited about getting a chance to hang out with cutepillowdancer for a couple days around New Years.

So I get home after the last show & load out last night & finally get a chance to check my voice mail. Turns out I have an interview on Friday for a job at the North Carolina School of the Arts! This would be an amazing X-mas gift from the universe to me. It would be just what I need to help with my plans to move back to NC. The only sticker is that I would have to accelerate my plans by 4-5 months. Sometimes life knocks on the door when you're in the shower.
