Just got back from SXSW film festival...Austin is a rockin' town to drunk around in... A short I worked on called "Cheap Date" was on the program (it's a little puppet movie about a rabbit with a 14 inch shlong & some auto-erotic issues with Pete Rose)... saw some great films... alot of documentaries... "aka / Tommy Chong" about his recent bust... "Life of Reily" about Charles Nelson Reily"... "JAM" about roller derby... two good narrative features "LOL" & "Dance Party, USA"

couldn't stay for the music fest... had to make the 20 drive back because my brother is coming in to LA for a few days... I love my bro... he always trys to make plans that are very logical to him... but they always go sideways... like, he's taking a later flight out so he can do a half day at work... this causes me to have to go to the airport (LAX) at rush hour on a Friday that just happens to be St. Patrick's day... it's gonna be raining here most of the weekend, so we'll see what kind of stuff we can do to keep us busy... he's a raging gourmond so there are already a couple of restaurants he wants to check out...

after he takes off, I get a few days to myself & the girl before I head east to visit my Mom.... cutepillowdancer has a show at the end of the month & I'm hoping to get back in time to see the last performance... planning to go check on my land & start getting the ball rolling on harvesting some of the trees... hopefuly that will earn me a few bucks towards starting work on the house I want to build...

have a happy St. Paddy's kidz... be safe out there... stay away from the green beer... take it easy on the car bombs
