That was one hell of a drive to and from Georgia in one day but well worth every minute of it!!!
Showed up in GA last Saturday to surprise my son... met his mother half way (my son lives in NC) So when I opened up the car door he looked at me like "that's DADDY!!!" Then he had a look of "what's daddy doing here? lol We all said.. SURPRISE.. MERRY CHRISTMAS... you're spending Christmas with DADDY!!! I couldn't get all the way out of the car.. he came up to me and gave me a great big ole hug!!! Definitely worth keeping it a secret for almost a month lol.
So I just got home from meeting the ex in GA ... wasn't pleasant seeing my son cry because he had to go home
He also cried last night because he knew the next day we were driving back to GA to meet up w/ his mother. He was good the entire trip - I kept him preoccupied plus he fell asleep part of the way because it was a 5 hour drive. But as soon as his mother showed up is when he started tearing up - he grabbed a hold of me and hugged me sooooooooo tightly I promised him that I'd come up to NC to visit again when I get more vacation time... I'll have 3 weeks of vacation because I'll have been w/ my job for 5 years by then. I really would like to go to NC and take him to the mountains - never really been around mountains.
Anyway.. so... this was the BEST CHRISTMAS by far because of surprising my son and him definitely being surprised. Now... it's time to RELAX!!! I'm beat!!! PEACE!!!
