So... I've been single by choice for a little over 4 years now. Several reasons why... first and foremost and most importantly is my son. I was in a few relationships and after each ended my son would ask a question like.. why aren't we living w/ so and so anymore? He was about 6 or 7 years old at the time. How do you explain that to a young child not once but twice after getting out of a relationship? I knew the answers and it's not something you can tell a child so I made up some stupid reason, which I forget. Anyway... so I decided to just stay single and focus on him.. making him happy - giving him all my attention instead of some chic!

Another reason would be my current job, which I've been at about 4 years. I started off part time and busted my ass day in and day out... made it up into a management position in a short period of time. Now I'm working on moving up to the next level in management. My previous jobs... one I held for 7 years and then the next one after I was there for about 2 years. They were pretty decent jobs however I didn't stay focused due to shitty relationships. Babbling away now!!!

4 years now being single kind of gets old.. well it has gotten old a long time ago but I had to stay focused on my goals!!! My son is up in PA right now (I'm in Florida) His mother was supposed to only be there for a year but that's a fucked up story with in itself and I don't want to get into that right now!!! So.. the ex and her hubby (her hubby's in the military) are trying to get stationed in Florida but the closest will be NC in a few months. Closer is a plus - It'll be much easier to travel to NC rather than PA and cheaper... oh and faster, lol.

So - ok..rambling away -fuck I hate it when I do that!!! For some strange reason I've been getting friends on FB texting, chatting or messaging me lately... an old friend wanted to rekindle our past encounters and even asked if we could try our hand at a relationship. Anther friend.. whom I only know via a random FB invite from her has given me her number... we text a lot... we have a lot of same interest - a lot in common. We are talking about going to several concerts together.. may even hang out tomorrow night. And there's another one whom I've posted a blog about, lol. But she's not one whom I would date because I dated her ex-boyfriend's SISTER, lol.

I think the signs are there... is it FATE (if fate exists) hinting to me that I should get back into the dating scene again? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .... If so... I'm not jumping head first into anything... this time around I plan on building a friendship instead of just going into a full blown relationship. Time will tell... If I do... I'll blog about it!!!
