The new lovely:



Excuse the shitty netbook webcam delight. I still need to get a @(#*&$ing program for it.

The girl was originally done after a friend took her life, and the idea was to incorporate it into a half-sleeve with all artwork copied from Kurt Halsey, who is my favourite artist. I love how his pieces have evolved over the years, and I especially love how I can afford to buy his work.
I sat on this idea for two years. Part of the problem was that the tattoo artist who had originally inked the girl lives in St.Catherines and his reason to visit Ottawa moved out to the east coast to pursue his own artistic endeavours. I've had some shitty tattoo experiences, so the idea of searching out a new tattooist, well, freaked the fuck out of me. Enter a pretty spontaneous trip to Chicago, two amazing friends, and BJ from Windy City Ink. I'm looking forward to getting another installment when I return in August for Lollapalooza.
Until then, I'll be in Boston next for my first ever PAX. With press passes! You're jealous.
