So, the state of New York got real over the past couple of days and recognized same-sex marriage. Hoo-fucking-rah! I'm so tired of this being an issue - because it SHOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE. I know SO many people who are in committed same-sex relationships who are better suited to be 'married' than some of my hetero friends. I am just tired of restricting those that ought to be together legally and financially from, well, being together.

I know some of the freaky Religious Right folks will get their knickers in a major twist, but SCREW THEM. I know it could be better said, but I don't have the interest. Thankfully some people are more diplomatic than I am.
