I have a cold. The kind of cold that creeps in your throat, the signal that fall is coming to render our bodies vulnerable. The chill of the night air sticks to my bones, and my skin is feverish.
It invokes sense memory; though my heart is heavy these days, my body feels likes listening to a song you havent played in ages. One of those good-time-songs, pricking your thoughts into a direction they havent followed in so long. The last time I felt sick like this was a lifetime ago in my favorite season, curled up in my bed, and being made soup for, while autumn rolled leaves in looping dances down the street outside my window.
