I think it is important to show the work you are less proud of along side the work you are more proud of. I don't think this drawing works. I tried colored pencils on black paper. The colored pencils didn't really pop the way I wanted them to. Also the paper might have needed more weight. It didn't grab the marks. After doing what I could with colored pencils, I used various gel pens (white being the most prominent). The blue gel pen didn't really show up in the light I was using but really shined when I took the picture. In the future, I will use oil pastels on this paper. While I am okay with the proportions, I couldn't get the feathers the way I wanted them.
