Do you ever have the feeling that you see something more clearly than someone else? and not that you see where to go, or how to go, or what the path will be, but only maybe that there should be a next step, a foot raised in the air. and you can even see why the other person would not see it. This happens in all spheres of life, with all sorts of people, on all levels. We focus on it most in relationships; but . . . it happens all the time.
Let's see. My friend Dick is going to Michigan with his sig other, lucky him. My friend Sara is off in Mexico, writing. My friend Sarah is pregnant. (Both Sara and Sarah are bi, oddly. I just thought of that.) (And both flirted with me for a while, never reallly concluding, I suppose.) My friend Mike is enjoying Seattle with his wife and teaching. El Chino is slaving away like me. My bro is still the good guy that he is, and his daughter was so excited last night when she got my birthday card. She says, "you get good gifts" I guess that's a wonderful compliment from a kid.
Family is good. I need to find a way to put aside this life, and be with family.
