Thought I might have found a possible way of getting some UK citizenship or at least extension for staying based on a grandparent, but alas, it looks like I still don't qualify.
We're getting to about 6 or 7 weeks left of my stay, and suddenly my opinions on marrying for the sake of staying are changing. (Not that that would be possible at this point. I think in Scotland you need to declare your intent to marry 3 months ahead of time, for one thing...)
It's really too bad. I have much more of a life going on in Scotland than I ever had in the US.
