I booked ticket to New Orleans for the 13th. I am not happy about this and wish I had not done it -- so far I can't find a suitable place to stay and everyone who said they'd "help" just knows all the same things I do like to use craigslist to search for places. I also get conflicting accounts of what is or isn't a bad neighborhood from every person.

But as the whole point of the trip was to scout it to move there -- and it's quite plain now that that isn't going to be possible -- it doesn't seem like there's much point in going at all.
