It appears I'm going to be producing a commedia dell'arte play.

Commedia dell'Arte Day is on Feb. 25th so, I decided I should put up some of that money I've hoarded away to pay for a show. The only real expense is the costumes, and if I play the inamorata I can use my own clothes (I have an Avon Jupon gown that is suitable.) It's going to probably require a visit to that awful costume shop I used to work for, to see about renting the other outfits, sadly. I called to inquire about their current hours and that horrible fellow who was ultimately the reason I left, still works there. I hope I won't have to see him, but unfortunately it's probable I shall.
Anyway, at this point I still need to try to find a cast, which tends to be the place where my theater and film projects fall apart most often. Costumes are step two, let's hope the damned costume shop doesn't give me a heart attack with their awful suggestions.

It also looks like my parents and I are going to be heading up to Denver this weekend to finally see the King Tut exhibit there. I think it's the last weekend it's even up. The tickets were bloody expensive -- supposedly they cost $25 each but were really more like $35 each once all these hidden fees were put on them. (I couldn't believe it, there was even a 'printing ticket at home fee.') Hope it'll be worth it.

And it looks like Marriage of Figaro is the next Beaumarchais play I'll be translating.

grayness:
printing ticket at home fee...?
How long will it be before there's a "not coming to the exhibit fee" ?
That one could be quite the source of revenue.
