I posted on the New Mexico Film website my newly edited casting call in hopes it might bring some fresh prospects. Unfortunately, all it's achieving so far is the resubmission of the same people I didn't want the first time around. I wonder if they'd still work if I took money out of the equation -- I wouldn't pay these people to be in my film, but maybe if they would work for free I'd settle.

Meanwhile this MacBook is already starting to give me problems -- so much for hoping the extra money would pay off. It's beginning to do that thing where you just get this spinning rainbow colored wheel (the equivalent of the hourglass on a PC) and it never goes away and you can't do anything. It also did something bizarre a couple days ago where the computer was apparently on and functional but the light in the screen somehow didn't come on. The lack of any word processing software is also becoming a problem. What the hell kind of computer comes with film editing programs but nothing where you can just write a normal document? A Mac, evidently.
