Okay, I think the banking nightmare is over, barring any new problems! I've got my fresh debit card and all the money looks to have been returned to my account (weirdly, there's about $40 less than I expected but I'm not seeing any other false charges or fees, so I guess I had just bought more stuff than I'd realized in the week before all...

How... convenient.
Part of my catch phrase is "Cetera desunt"... but the rest is missing.

You hath returned! Good to see you.
I was eating a sandwich and thought it odd how... crunchy it was.
Then I realized the problem was one of my teeth had completely disintegrated, and I ate it. I ATE one of my TEETH.

Well, I praise the gods and take it as a sign of some kind of favoritism that it didn't hurt nearly as bad as one might expect. The sensation of the wisdom teeth creeping around under the gums and creating this chaos is actually much, much worse.

Ouch. Food and teeth not good for the digestion.
Someone got ahold of my debit card number and bought a bunch of crap via paypal and drained my bank account. Now I have to wait to see this Choopa LLC place reverses all the purchases or if I'm going to have to try to get my bank to replace the cash -- and the overdraft fees.

It was probably some foreigner who thinks he's being a Robin Hood. I've got a lot of international penpals, and most of the ones outside Europe (and this includes countries like Australia) are shocked and initially think I'm being overdramatic when I tell them not all Americans are rich and living in mansions -- because America is "the richest country in the world," which leads them to think that it means all the people are rich and not that everything just costs more.
Also the fact that every movie out of Hollywood portrays everyone as living in a mansion probably doesn't help matters.

I've ordered your books. I'm looking forward to getting to read them.
Let's see... what have I been up to since September? Hmm. Well, I published 2 books, which you can see here, or even better if you mean to buy them *ahem* you can get them from the publisher Createspace, where they don't take that extra 20% cut that Amazon does. The first book I did was The Cartomancer's Key, a little book about...

Now, now why burn a perfectly good shop down... unless you block the fire exits first?
Sympathies over the dental woes. And thanks for the update... you breeze in with enough of interest to compare with a decade or two in the lives of many others.

Hey -- some secret millionaire and/or stalker reactivated this account for me, nice! Now I can bitch about losing $5 at the casino, and how I still haven't been able to get that dental problem fixed. Stay tuned, folks!

Awesome news!!
And, farewell, friends;
Thus Thisby ends:
Adieu, adieu, adieu.

Okay, well, I went ahead and trimmed down my old Crude Furie photoset so that it really only has the 10 photos I actually liked instead of the obligatory 40. Also changed the old description to the one I had imagined I'd use from the start, before it was rejected and I was obliged to fight in its defense in that godawful Hopefuls section that...

Are you letting your membership expire? Good luck with the screenplay. I'm a film editor in Los Angeles, FYI.
August!
I think my membership expires next month on the 11th. Better make the most of things.

Should you be going for certain, your occasional stops through this place will be missed.
Obviously you have a sharp wit, and a artist's talent to yourself. I don't think I need to wish you luck- and I mean that as a compliment.
It is still wished, though.
Take care of yourself, and be well.

There might be a copy of the fabled London After Midnight at the UCLA archives?
Ooooh, it makes me all antsy just thinking about it. Archivists, or you that know archivists, to arms!

Damn I blink a lot.
There are also some more pictures and things here: http://rcsiren.blogspot.com/2008/06/scary-monsters.html
The original plan was to have a massive monster battle, of monsters and werewolves and zombies against superheroes and Victorian explorer-types (think Abraham Van Helsing) but, in the end, only about 20 people showed up and most of the monster costumes were so bad you had to kind of ask...

I came across this in the paper today. Yes I read the kind of newspaper you hold in your hands. Here's the online version link.

Captain Vomits Rainbows?!
Was walking down the street when a man pulled up alongside and said I looked like an Edward Gorey illustration. He then asked if I needed a lift somewhere, but I was arriving at the cemetery just then, and so told him I was already arrived at my destination.
Saw a tombstone there that said merely "Rodriguez At Rest" which sounds like an excellent title...

Should I ever write a novel, I am so going to steal that title.
I think it would be about a hardboiled private eye who is trying to be retired. It's not working out so well...

Are you in agreement or not? I'm not sure. I don't like the immaturity on the forums or boards. I suppose in the end they'll say they are just putting up what people like or what reflects what their subscribers look like.
I am fortunate to live *very* near the place from which your books are distributed. I am very much enjoying the David Garrick, and as a matter of fact I am off to read it now. It's entirely possible it shall keep me up past what should be my bed time.
grayness: I'm glad you like it -- and I'm sure T.W. Robertson, too, is happy that people are reading his work again!
