Ah! I was beginning to worry my free account reactivation expired -- but it turns out I just got logged out somehow and couldn't remember my password. Still, I think it's getting close to the cutoff. That reactivation was in March or April and was only good for 3 months as I remember.

New books are made -- 'Tis Pity She's a Whore and Fanny...

Apparently Simon Pegg is filming a movie in my town. I wonder if I should make a point of hanging around places where he's being seen and try to harrass him about the script I sent him. I'd probably be the only girl under age 65 for miles, so I bet he would talk to me!
grayness:
I suspect he might talk to you were that not the case. smile

I wish I knew something about HTML besides the most basic things (though, frankly, I don't wish it so hard that I'm up for immersing myself in something I find so boring...)

Nevertheless -- my website, http://www.taliastarot.com has, you will notice, this eternal empty space underneath the navigation bar. It seems that space could be used for something of merit, like ads for books or...

Amazon finally got up a blurry washed out photo for Rue Morgue at http://amzn.com/1442184167
However, they still have not corrected the false attribution of me as the author, instead of Edgar Allan Poe; I wrote in recommending that be fixed. There was a similar trouble with David Garrick, I recall.

In other news, I cut my hand making my own shoes. I so far have...

Rosetta Stone is having a $100 off Father's Day sale. I wish I could buy that stuff, but even -$100 that's $150 or more for the software.

They have Rosetta Stone for LATIN!

That's pretty awesome, actually...

'Tis Pity She's a Whore is taking longer than expected, mainly because I'm having trouble getting my formatting done at the public computer lab at the teen center -- my laptop doesn't have good enough software. It's hard to concentrate on the 17th century English when there's some pair of 14 year olds flirting loudly in that horrible kid way where they mostly just insult...

Okay, was able to toss together eough pictures for Fanny Hill -- sent that off to the printer today.

Also today, my new version of The Murders in the Rue Morgue came through, so that's for sale now (though it might be a little while before it's on Amazon.) If you like Poe, consider getting a copy -- it's the one with the most morbid...

I might even consider reading your edition of Fanny Hill, despite your assessment.

I'm supposed to make illustrations for an edition of Fanny Hill, but that book is too boring to read. Please suggest scenes for me to draw.
grayness:
Well, it would have a certain absurdist quality, if the book is too boring to read, to illustrate random scenes from elsewhere in literature.

Plus, it would then help relieve the boredom of those who bought the book, since you could choose interesting scenes. You could place one every 50 pages of so, as a reward for sticking with the book.

But I must admit to a gap in my knowledge, namely that I've never read the book myself- and after your assessment, I am somewhat disinclined to feel it's a gap that needs filling. wink
aristophanes:
I need maybe 2 more scenes to draw. I wanted to draw this one scene where Fanny almost gets raped by this disgusting old man, but the way I imagine him, he's too fat to fit on the paper and I've already rejected multiple versions of that scene. So, I figure I should go for something else.

The book's only about 130 pages to start with, so there's more like a picture every 20 -25 pages.

I got a little job refinishing a piece of furniture for a friend, but I don't have a garage and the weather is not cooperating on my getting this finished in a timely manner. Oh well, at least he specified he's not in any rush to get it back.

I wonder if I should try to advertise my books on SG. There's a shitty looking...
