Oh, what a weekend. Stayed in, kept quiet, watched some Space 1999 with the flatmate (and yes, it sucks as much as you remember) and now I'm still feeling like crap from this cold!
(However, the theme music did kind of rock. I very nearly started dancing on the table, I had to be pulled down before I took off my shirt...)

At this rate I'll never get my computer to recognise me saying "I would like some fish'n'chips". Tragedy, I tell you!
I also have this really funny relationship with 30 Seconds to Mars. I should hate them (after all, nearly everyone else over the age of 15 does!) but I got hooked by "This Is War" when it was used as a promo for Dragon Age: Origins, and I like to play it when I'm feeling less than perky. It makes me want to go out and kill dragons. (Plus Jared Leto actually seems kind of decent.)
I'm not sure whether this makes me a hipster or not. So confused!

Haha, funny you should say that. We were packing up our car, when the wife of the owner of the motel we had stayed at comes up and says their social club is having a pool competition and she wants us to play for an hour. I didn't want to do it, and it was a really shitty deal (we spend $300 on two rooms, half of the band sleep on the floor, even though they said there would be enough beds, there are fleas, then play for an hour and only make back a third of what we spent :whatever
but it turned out to be really fun. I can see what you mean about the attitude adjustment, and it's not really somewhere I would want to live, but as far as small towns go, it wasn't so bad. The crowd at the Opera House was great, although there were a lot of drunk fucks up the back shouting "Wagon Wheel!".
