My next book is going to be about a heist.
That's all I'm saying until it's done.
*****
I've started playing the Superbowl spreads on XXXVI. The last three games I've been right.
I thought the Pats would cover the 17 points vs the Rams. They did.
I thought the Buccaneers would blast the -6 Raiders. They did: and if the Raiders made a lousy 2pt conversion I would have won 500, but I'm not bitter.
I thought the Panthers would cover the -8 Patriorts. They did. I won some pocket money.
That said:
Last week my Prediction for XXIX was:
Eagles 24
Patriots 20
MVP: Donovan Mcnabb
My prediction now is:
Pats 31
Eagles 16
MVP: Corey Dillon
And it won't be as close as the score suggests.
Three simple reasons:
1. The Pats are far stronger than they were last year.
2. It isn't going to matter a fuck if T.O. plays or not. The Pats handled Bulger and Holt. They handled Roethlisberger to Ward, Burress and Randle El. They fucked Manning, James, Wayne, Stokley and Harrison. Twice. They'll deal with the gimp.
3. Despite the first two reasons I was going with the Eagles to win outright because I didn't think the Pats could handle McNabb - look at the 3rd quarter of the Steelers game and watch how Roethlisberger shifted around in space and sliced them up, McNabb will do that the entire game.
Unfortunately Freddie Mitchell opened his mouth.
When gambling on a specific game. I always look for that X-Factor. What does one team have over the other that'll decide the game.
The '01 Pats and the '03 Panthers had pluck, spirit. The '02 Buccaneers had a very underrated offence.
The '04 Patriots have this Drago look around them.
Last week the '04 Eagles had this Rocky look about them
Then Freddie Mitchell opened his yap. And the Rocky aura went. Now they've got this Creed look.
And that's this year's X-Factor.
Superbowl XXIX will be a rerun of Rocky IV.
Drago will break Creed.
And it'll be all over by the second.
That's what I'm saying and sticking by. It'll be a massacre but so what. I'm going to have fun. Hope you all do as well.
And feel free to slam down your predictions but I want reasons - however specious they may be

now that Super Bowl is past?
Good to be back again .
Not at work but chilling on SG!
and the reall bitch is that starting this year they totally reorganized my education to start working in projects that are meant to deliver finished products like cellphone games.
i.e. in other words, actual valuable work experience instead of a timedrain with next to no educational value.
if i didn't need the diploma i'd tell them to stuff it.
