argon

the chemistry conference was awesome. i met so many people that are from all around the world that live right here in iowa. it is very exciting to go out to a bar with a group of people and everyone is from a different country. I met someone from ethiopia, yugoslavia, argentina, china, russia, UK, israel, denmark, and india and these are just the people from either U of I or ISU. i think these conferences are as much from chemists to be social with each other as it is for chemists to learn about each other's research. the drive was a bitch especially since all 7 of us crammed into a mini van, and the rooms we stayed in sucked, but everything else was just awesome.
