i went to visit my brother and his wife for the weekend and then visited my parents for a couple of days. I love my brother and his wife and we always have lots of fun together, and it was nice to spend a couple of days with my mom. i feel a little guilty for not being able to go into work while i was gone (i dont have a scedual of any sort or a required number of hours), but every one in the lab takes several days off at a time over the course of the summer... im going in early to work in the morning in an effort to catch up.

i visited a pet store with my roommate this evening which was a very bad idea. i imedeately fell in love with every rodent, rabit, and puppy in the store. we played with the most adorable lab with the sweetest temperment ive ever seen. she played very enthusiastically but when you picked her up she just melted into your neck. i very much wanted to take her home with me, but i dont think my landlord would let a giant dog escape his notice. I then became intensely interested in a very sweet baby rabit which i also want to take home in my pocket. i do my best to stave impusle buys, so i left with out either of them. now that i am thinking about it a little bit more realistically, i think i should get some sort of rodent. i could take them places much more easily and i wouldnt feel bad leaving it in its cage all day with out constant attention. i think i'll think on that for a while.
