I don't know, I know very little about contacts. Hopefully ones that won't make my dry eyes freak out.

Nice.

Which Neruda poem would you get?
cereal_killer:
thought i'd bring my answer to your boards question here since i'll actualy give you a straight answer as opposed to being an asshat about it and ripping you up and down for 2 pages for whatever reason. feel good though... at least you've supplied the easily amused with hours of entertainment.

(side note: i've been here 4 years and never use the boards anymore... nothing but immature retards on there... it's pointless. fight here... squabble there... blah blah blah)

anyway, if you don't mind the cold i would go with toronto... to be entirely honest i've never been to SF, so i tend to be a bit biased on this particular subject, but anyway, i digress. TO has all your big city stuff... different parts of the city (downtown, "china town", artsie sections, etc)... it's a good mix of everything in my opinion. people are polite, friendly and not snarky or rude up there (well, too much). the city is also unusually clean. when i lived in syracuse, NY i went there almost every weekend. i've made tons of friends and i always have a good time. the schools are really good from what i understand, you should try joining the SGCanadaEast Group you could ask about grad schools and other things about the city. you would actually get decent answers in their.

oh, and there are plenty of lovely ladies available for partying with... straight, gay or bi. biggrin

hope that actually helps.

How was Ghost in the Shell 2?

The beer was Corona btw. Usually I'm a Yuengling drinker but it was the hubby's bday. smile

I'm enjoying season 2 more than season 1 so far, which is highly unusual for a TV show. It also means I'll have to buy the DVDs now, if season 2 ends on a high note. wink

I'm studying abroad this summer for three reasons:

70% There are no Middle Eastern/African political science courses at my school and I have deemed living without them to be a miserable and suffocating existence, and I planned to study abroad anyway.

20% I told my mother that I would not be coming home during the summer.

10% I like to travel and I wanted to...

African Politics is a fascinating field of study.

When I met my husband, his roommate had that novel cover as a magnet on the fridge.

WHEN along the pavement,
Palpitating flames of life,
People flicker round me,
I forget my bereavement,
The gap in the great constellation,
The place where a star used to be.

Nay, though the pole-star
Is blown out like a candle,
And all the heavens are wandering in disarray,
Yet when pleiads of people are
Deployed around me, and I see
The streets long outstretched Milky...

Yes, I've eaten squid. I liked it when I still ate meat.

Have you?
eddie:
Yeah, I have had rice milk... it is a little thinner than soy milk, at least the brand I had. I lived with someone who couldn't drink milk or soy milk so she drank rice milk. She made pretty great lattes with it. Yeah she had an espresso machine. That was sweet.

Gungrave is shaping up to be a really good series. The first two or three episodes are kinda slow and border somewhat on pre-11pm Cartoon Netword anime stereotypicalness (all fighting, no backstory or character development, bad voice actors, shitty plot). But I added the rest of the series to the top four slots of my NetFlix list.

suntlacrimae:
I saw it last year. It picks up quickly.

Me, a pornographer? I don't even own a pornograph.

Sometimes you don't realize your mother has taken your stuff until it's too late. It's three o'clock in the morning, and your sexually explicit material is gone, just when you need it most. So you have to search the whole house for anything with a picture of a woman on it.
Pretty soon you're at...

So far, SIT is fronting about half of the cost for study abroad. I'm going to appeal my aid amount to see if I can get more. I'm still waiting to see about the college scholarship. I'm also checking out loan options.

I don't want to spend my 21st birthday drinking alone, so I'm planning on going somewhere. I just have to come up with...

I couldn't agree more about the lack of realsitic girl/girl porn. It almost never seems like they're into it. frown

Oo, I desperately want to go to Montreal! NYC is always great, and I'll be there by your b-day. I have some friends in Austin and they love it there. Sounds like you have a lot of options.

I sold my CD player boom box thingy and now have some cash. Now, how to use it? I could A) pay for driving lessons B) Place it in savings until I sell my computer so I can buy a laptop C) Buy a Digital Camera. I'm veering toward driving lessons. It's the most economically beneficial. I have no license and no car. I want...

I'm re-reading Middlesex by Jeffry Eugenides. I kept pushing it back because of classes, etc. but the need to read the book was persistent, like a nagging itch right under the skin, so last night I retrieved it from the suitcase I used over srping break, and stayed up until 3:30 reading and watching anime on Adult Swim (I'm beginning to like Neon Genesis Evangelion...
