The two things on my mind right now:

1. If my professor tries to hijack my anthology just one more time...

2. "The Book of Love" by the Magnetic Fields. It's quite possibily the coolest love song ever.

The offer still stands if you want me to take a look at it. I do have a bit more free time, now that I'm done writing. wink

Yeah, I got it. Sorry for the delay in respone; my ethernet cable was being used for system link Halo. Anyway, I think it sounds like a very cool idea and, on top of that, and idea which should elicit a pretty good grade from the professor. Unfortunately, I don't currently have anything in the works, but I'll give it a shot and if anything with any merit shows up I'll email it to you.

Despite waking up slightly hung-over this morning (after the SG Burlesque Show), my first thought was of how much I love Suicide Girls.

Missy is genius.

What was once written here has been deemed an abomination by The Council of One and has since been removed.

Furthermore, a moratorium has been placed on any and all posts constructed while temporarely sub-human (on account of alcohol-induced ineptitude).

Thank you.

I'm tired. I'm going to sleep.

Life is desire, and we only desire what we don't have. I may dream of endless days of surfing perfect swells before sleeping quietly in gently sun-warmed grass, but I know that if I had that, I'd long for something else.

Thank you for your toast. Next time, though, toast for the good fortune to get what you want and the wisdom to be happy with it; I'd like that much better.

I started training again today. It's been a while though, and my time away definately took its toll. After a couple Djarum Blacks yesterday, a boatload of coffee and some T-Bell, my body was not feelin' too hot this morning. I went to the gym anyhow... and had to cut my routine short because I had to run into the bathroom to vomit.

I need...

I find that my outlines actually help me in being more spontaneous. I know that seems insane but bear with me. While writing the outlines, I get all the plot and major surprises in. I can imagine the plot and structure very quickly because I'm only writing the bare minimum. Thus, I end up with a very workable story and don't have to worry about the plot again. I write the noun sheets as I'm writing the outline, so I really know who my characters are--which is imperative to "selling" your main characters. With all that thought put in, I can divorce myself from thinking about who my characters are or plot devices when it comes time to actually write. I know pretty well who everyone is and where they should be at any given point, so I can concentrate much more on the actual words.

I can't take credit for that explanation of the f-bomb. I started to write the same explanation deep within the high-tech wonderland that is my office, but then just looked it up instead (I've written the explanation several times before).

It's March 16th...and it's snowing an inch an hour.

[Something more interesting here soon, I swear.]

Thank you. I'm always pleased when someone enjoys my work.

More days off means more time to work on my Odyssey submission. To date, I've been trying to nail-down the all-important first page. I figure that once that crackles, I'll find my rhythm - which, admittedly, has been a tad elusive of late; I've found it difficult switching gears from screenwriting to prose this time 'round.

Aside: I must remember not to overdose on glorious,...

I almost bought more knives today - after my last one was stolen by some witless troll/co-worker at Starbucks. Then I realized that I'm saving my money for my first tattoo. Of course, technically speaking, I really don't have funds for either, especially not after the cost of the flight to MN. But, when has that ever stopped me before.

Impulse trumps logic far too...
