I've not much to say because all of my words are currently promised to my screenplay. As a quick update, though, I've redesigned the plotline, the backstory, and two of the major characters, as well as shuffled nearly all of the existing scenes. That may seem drastic, but, actually, it was only half a step backward so that I could take two forward. It also means I'm writing again. Even if the material sucks come re-writing time, I've ink on the pages.

Thanks to those who gave me encouragement and called me on my whining.

On an unrelated note: Plane tickets will happen as soon as Zack returns my e-mail. My roommates are both trying to dissuade me from going to the Twin Cities for break, but I'm going to tell them to stuff it. Sub-zero Minnesota temperatures and new ink, here I come. There will be beer at some point, too, I think.

Oh, and my Creative Writing professor seemed, at the catch, to be a wealth of old-guard English wisdom and authority. Now I'm not so sure. His method of critiquing poetry bordered on offensive and was definitely ridiculous. I tried telling myself that his approach was "just different," but that's not the case. I think he may be senile. We'll see how round two goes on Monday.
