Long story short, my computer's version of Windows XP got corrupted for the second time this Summer. This happened on Sunday, after I'd spent the morning doing some stuff. I tried to re-install on my old computer, but all attempts to do so have failed. It looked like I was screwed, but my state representative gave me one of his family's old computers that they weren't using anymore so that's what I'm using. Let me tell you right now that you will not find a more generous politician in Ohio than Mike Foley. Check out his website, donate to his campaign if you can, but please show your appreciation for him seeing as how he's the guy responsible for helping me get back online again.
Not that I'm really complaining, considering I'm in no position to do so, but the "new" computer (it's a 2000 COMPAQ Presario, hardly new but nevertheless one I got after I acquired my old, broken down comp) doesn't have as much writable memory as my older one. And sooner or later, it's going to run out of storage space or develop some other age-related problem, requiring money or software I don't have in order to fix it. So I really need to raise the money to buy a brand new PC. I am loathe to beg for money, but I really have no other choice. I have a website that I never use or update anymore, which you can visit by clicking here. If you scroll down the page, you will find a button that will take you to a PayPal donation page (I hope). If you can spare any money, no matter how small an amount, I would greatly appreciate it. I harbor no illusions about raising money for a computer; I simply hope to raise some money so I can obtain bus fare and physically go out and look for a job. Because there's nothing within walking distance that's hiring, and I can't just sit at home going through the classifieds or the online job search engines. So if anyone is able to help, I'd be really, really grateful. Thanks. And no hard feelings if you can't spare anything.
