Well, it happened. I got called into the supervisor's office to discuss my future with Dial America, which is more than likely non-existent as of today. I had been given time to bring my sales up, a full week more than I likely would have gotten if I hadn't pulled them up two weeks ago, but it wasn't meant to be.
Now, there is a slight chance that I may keep my job, albeit in a different program than what I started out on. Magazine subcriptions sponsored by charitable organizations and non-profits like Mothers Against Drunk Driving. If that happens, then I may be able to remain employed past today. If not...
Well, good thing I paid for a full year's subscription. Plus, I have some money saved up from my paychecks and my income tax refunds, with an extra $340 or so coming back to me because I qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit. As long as I don't spend that on anything except transportation to get to places that may be hiring, I should be able to make the money stretch.
Oh well, back to job-hunting.
EDIT: It's definitely a no-go on getting transferred to another program, just thought I'd keep you updated.
