After going five, day long rounds with gastro-enteritis (ghastly-fucking-diarrhoea) and losing about 10 lbs through dehydration, I got to see Isobell Campbell play.
No Mark Lanegan unfortunately his parts from their new record were sung by ex Vaseline's singer Eugene Kelly, which is cool, but not the same.
Got to spend valentines night with me girl into the bargain, so all in all a great...

Perspective often comes from the most unwanted source.
Haven't been updating or viewing the site much, which originally stemmed from simply not being in the mood after the loss of my big sister to a long running battle with cancer.
Although its going to be a personal worst Christmas, its also going to be a personnel best.
I'm off to Canada on Saturday to play...

yeah, you're absolutely right - i need to get that energy back. it perpetuates itself once you get out there. thanks.
as far as the game goes - i did get it, and it's soooo good. i've only gotten through three of the Colossi so far, so the vague storyline is only just beginning to unfold. but each battle is exhilirating and challenging and beautiful to see in action. you even feel a little morally ambiguous as the thing topples over, like 'who is the real bad guy here?'
much, much references to Ico, too - visually, emotionally - there's even some of that shadow-creature action going on around the edges that is making me nervous.
all in all, a success. i hope you manage to get a copy sooner than later.

I hear they are planning some horny on-stage 3d animatoin.....as you say: interesting!
Just wanted to flag up my preference for mighty boosh type comedy too. I laughed so hard my cock and balls fell off.
Which was quite an inconvenience...
see you.

Saw Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks play live on monday night.
Sure its not Pavement anymore, but it was still a superb gig.
Also got to spend the night with my girl.
I miss her warm skin against mine in bed at nights.
My socks are currently being rocked by Arcade Fire and the new Goldfrapp record.
If you can get BBC America, or it...

They're a chance to reflect on what you've done, and they come complete with the appropriate punishment.

Since last time.......
I saw the Pixies for the 4th time since they got back together. This was the 1st time it felt like I was watching the same band I saw way back when.
Joyous!
Saw another great band in my local venue, Monroes bar in workington, called FLAMINGO 50.
Was a total surprise as I had gone to see a band further...
