Well, a couple of things have happened.
1. We didnt quite finish Aradias kayak frame yesterday like we hoped, but were damn close. Itll be done today, and we will also have time to work on mine. That takes us from being a day and a half behind, to only a half a day behind, and considering we bought some new tools, and learned some things, I think well be able to make that up, and get ahead in no time.
2. Aradia cut his finger last night. He crawled into bed and told me. That boy and sharp things, I tell ya. I think hell be okay though. I woke up this morning and there was blood all over his sweatshirt, and he had filled a dressing with blood, but it looks like he was able to make it stop, and a band aid is holding just fine. Wont need stitches I dont think, besides, he could just give himself stitches.
3. Aradias dad is going into surgery today to have a quadruple bypass heart surgery. He went into the hospital in Longview (where he lives) the night before last because he wasnt feeling well, and they sent him to St. Vincents in Portland. They did some tests and found that he had not had a heart attack yet, however he had multiple clogged arteries, and one was inevitable. So, theyre getting him in surgery ASAP. I hope everything goes well. I did not know that I was so attached to him. Aradia seems to be taking it well, although I dont know how he manages to do that.
Well know more tonight.
4. On a slightly better medical note, my dad had an infection in his lungs and was having minor bronchial tube failure, so they put him on antibiotics and an inhaler. After about a week of treatment, he seems to be doing much better. He is actually going to go sailing with us for a couple on days on our vacation. He is the one that taught me just about everything I know about boats, and he used to be a boat builder for 14+ years. It runs in the family.
