ahh...so it's warmer outside right now than it is inside. too bad it's so moist out there or i'd drag my puter out there with me...
my golden birthday was saturday...i don't know if that's a midwestern concept or what since nobody out here on the east coast seems to know what the hell i'm talking about (i turned 29 on the 29th...) eh, whatever. friday my brother and i headed out to our favorite tattoo parlor (electric lotus in boonton, nj - jae connor rocks my socks!) and i got my nose pierced - happy early birthday to me! hoping that piercing #14 will get me off the unlucky 13 bullshit of the last year or so. made an appointment for my next tattoo - a week from thursday, i'm WICKED excited (yeah i use that word as i have some new englandy friends, sorry).
dinner with the family, then off to staten island where a bunch of my friends dragged me out to a guido karaoke bar. got me hammered damn quickly and i ended up singing for the third time in my life, did "big empty" by stp. i have a deeper voice so i can't do girly crap, ha. i'm sure i sucked but after all the shots i did, like i gave a shit. ended up hurling later in the night once i was back at my friend's place, but eh, felt better so what did i care. like i really needed to eat a bubba burger at 2am anyway.
saturday my friend got her HD box installed, so she and i spent most of the day watching crappy cable, enthralled by the beauteous picture. i'm such a techie nerd. i wanted to blow her flat screen, if that was somehow possible. dirty dancing in HD was highly entertaining. was supposed to go out to a burlesque bar in the city that night but those plans fell apart, so another friend came over and we got drunk and watched animal planet in HD for hours. nice relaxing birthday full of purty visual stimuli. oh, and a trip to target, can't beat that.
now that my abs have FINALLY stopped aching horrendously since i went back to pilates last thursday, it's back to class again tonight, since i'm not marching anymore i have to make sure i keep my ass in shape. shall be doing some more fun hair glazing thursday night, so we'll see what color i end up with this time around. and hopefully this weekend at some point i'll get to do that awesome multi shoot zoomusikgrl came up with...hopping up and down with excitement for that one. woo!
OH - tickets for opie and anthony's animation festival go on sale friday - it's on thursday, june 5th in the evening at roseland ballroom. if any of you lovelies are planning on going let me know, i'm definitely there!
