I think I just realized that I forgot to answer an earlier question. PKD = Philip K. Dick. Author of bucketloads of science fiction. Some of his work has been turned into some really kick-ass movies like Blade Runner, Total Recall, and Minority Report. I got around to starting to read his short stories on my cross-country trip last fall and have pretty much enjoyed all his stuff so far (though it takes some getting used to I think). I just started The Simulacra, which is one of the books that the Wachowski brothers were inspired by when writing The Matrix trilogy.
