Dear Friends,
Being a musician has it's share of obstacles. I've been working really hard to piece my band together for almost two years now! Damn! Can you say "flakes"?
Oh, what do I do? I play bass guitar, flute (sounds pretty "fluffy and posh" but the flute is a seriously sexy instrument...sometimes creepy), I write my own music and lyrics, and I sing.
My original plan was to find some fierce female musicians. It's like finding a needle ina haystack! Why? BecauseI want females that are talented, not just standing around and mastering the art of "hotness". Have you ever tried putting aband together that can rock harder than the Donnas? The Donnas are cute....I just have something more clever in mind. It's bad enough that most people have pre conceived notions about all girl bands who aren't as talented as male bands. I just want to prove them wrong, that's all!
I have totally opened my mind to once again possibly being the only female in the band. (I still have not lost hope of finding my Fierce Rocker Chicas). I held guitar auditions on Wednesday night...it was quite hillarious! It was promising too.
If i can find people who share the same passion for music as I do, i will be ecstatic! Oh, and here is the funny part...I have two shows coming up in the Springtime...and no band! If worse comes to worse I will perform solo and sing to a radio prepped disk. I'm cool with that. The Show must go on! If anyone wants to hear some of my music please do send me a message. I have not quite figured out how to post my link on my blog. Help!
