it.is.finished. well, just this one little tiny piece of the overall scriptian puzzle. there is soooo much editing that must be done by - eek - next week! i am supposed to have my preliminary performance layout by then, but i am not so sure about that right now.

soooo, if you all will indulge me, i am going to make this a bit of a viewing spot just to start getting stuff out there. any thoughts - including critiques - are most welcome. honest to pearl, vignettes are so much more forgiving than verse!

anyway, if you haven't yet, i ask you to go back to yesterday's journal and read retro's post. i gushed (no, not that way ) afterwards, but ended up changing to this out of sheer relief. which sounds like some sort of new theraputic hosiery, but that is so not relevant. punch. drunk. anyway, please go back and read, because its the work of a living doll.

She and I
Intimate strangers
Sharing space and dividing time
Like an atom
Each breaking the other down
Into positives and negatives
Eternally circling
I wore her as a shroud
Living on mists and heat
Relentless energy
Impetuous, risk-driven, deadly
Haunted, hunting
With the power
Of a slave
Who corrupts her master
She seeped into me
Soaking in consciousness and fear
Relentless stasis
Deconstructive, hiding, surviving
Lost, longing
With the imagination
Of a priestess
Trying to escape her graven image
Burned and scarred
We bear the same marks
twin stars
Her light bursts, aurora rage
My light wanes, aphotic vengence
We stare at each other
Only one can remain
We lack the same verdure
We share the same pith
Unrelenting
Shadowed, shaking
Pausing to draw breath
Almost ready to stand
And fight to the death
