brilliant, bright, sunshiny morning ... the smell of clorox from my freshly cleaned kitchen ... limbre from morning yoga ... feeling good today.
tomorrow begins a new semester. i want to be decidedly on top of my game. i just retouched my orange bangs and added a stripe of bright cherry red, so i will look forward to the big eyed looks from those who don't quite understand what is going on there. yesterday the nice elderly gentleman gave me the most quizzical look. for my life i couldn't figure why, then i thought, "oh yeah, the bangs". i know it is a simple, adolescent reaction, but that amuses me a bit. especially since i generally hold doors, pick up bags, etc, which they don't expect. fire in the hair does not a hell raiser make.
this semester should be interesting. i will be writing a full performance piece that is yet untitled. it will most likely address one of my many topics of interest - body reclaimation through modification. exactly what direction i will go in remains to be seen. i must unearth some of my older writings to pick through what is/not good. i just cannot imagine writing an entire show. i can fill 20-30 minutes, no problem, but for 1.5 hours? yags. and there will ultimately be a set (minimalist, of course) and costumes and lights ... et all. not to get ahead of myself, but it is a bit intimidating. luckily i have the world's greatest advisor, so she will lead me on the proper course.
this semester my goal is to socialize more as well. i tend to truly geek out and focus so hard on my work it practically turns into diamonds. whilst the grades are good, i tend toward hermity and that is not good. i am feeling such a longing to be romantically involved - this from a generally take it or leave it girl - and i suspect meeting someone will have to involve leaving my precious books in favor of human company. or at least that is what i hear ...

around with my schedule. and check out local dance classes. wheeha.
ok, one more thing - i would love insights regarding digital camera shopping. i am going to do the disposable cd for now due to lack of other disposables, specifically income, but if you know how to shop for such things do tell. i am technologically daft.
heck, whilst i am asking questions, does anyone know what the sitch is with comment colour? i am brown, but i notice others have other colours. is it number of posts or some such?
