Lost Robin Hood.
Recently the love of my life has come under the evils of fraud. We're not sure where or how, exactly, but someone got his PIN and card number on his debit card.
We're not rich. In fact, we're below the poverty line. I am on disability and he works at a help desk.
Someone took out $180 from his bank account (there was $200 in there) and since his credit card was linked to his bank account, they took a money withdrawl for the entire amount allowed on his credit card.
We can barely afford food. BEFORE the money was taken.
I understand people that are down and out turning to theft and likewise measures to keep themselves going. I understand, I don't condone.
My issue is the fact that the mythos of Robin Hood seems to have been forgotten in the modern age of debit/credit fraud. What ever happened to steal from the rich and give to the poor?
There's people out there that have loads of money. Why take from someone who can barely support themselves? I don't understand.
The debit fraud has been proved to be fraud, we're still waiting to hear back from Visa. Fingers crossed and all that. Hopefully he can get the money back.
