Camping Weekend.

Well, we got back from Silent Lake Provincial Park yesterday afternoon and I have to say - it was a weekend from hell.

I don't know if I've ever cried so much without breaking up with boyfriend before. This was a crazy messed up weekend.

For starters, I forgot my meds at home, which set off a lot of things. We spent more money than expected at Canadian Tire on camping supplies. And it rained all fucking weekend. Seriously. All weekend. Drip. drop. Fucking cold and rain for three fucking days straight. We were bored out of our minds, getting on each others nerves and having trouble starting a fire.

We found out that I am deathly terrified of canoes (after renting one for 24 hours, of course) due to a traumatic experience that happened three years ago. It took a while, but we did make it across the lake in the canoe and to this cute oasis with a waterfall coming out of this mossy rock formation. I will not be going back in a canoe again for a very very very very very long time, though.

We were freezing cold and damp and after the canoeing incident, I spent most of the following day in the tent sleeping from the trauma - side note - anyone know the real name for canoe-o-phobia? It's gotta exist. I can't be the only one. I love boats. I love water. I love swimming. I will never go in a canoe again.

We ended up only doing one trail out of the three that they had (they had an easy, a moderate and a strenusous - we did the moderate). It was an awesome trail, though. We ended up seeing a couple beavers and I got a really good work out from it. Pictures to follow.

I think from now on when we go camping we will insist on camping with other people who can contribute and help out. There will be better camping trips this summer, for sure.
