Okay... update... Court went well... here was the dialogue between the prosecutor and I:
Me: I'm sorry I didn't bring my ticket in with me, here's my drivers license
Prosecutor: Wow, 86 in a 65. It's a good thing you have your license with you today. Do you want to walk out of here with it?
M: That would be preferable.
P: Normally for that much over a court would just take it.
M: Yes, sir.
P: So how do you plead?
M: It depends, if I plead guilty are you going to take my license away?
P: If you actually make me take this case to trial I will.
M: Guilty.

*laughs* I walked out with a bill for $216, but I kept my license! Yay!
